During the operatory wipe down the first step is to purge the lines. You will then complete 2 full wipe downs of the operatory; the first wipe down is to clean the surface, the second is to disinfect it.
You will then place a total of 9 barriers, 1 headrest cover and 1 tray liner (with clean bare hands) an Instructor will provide you with a basic kit. You will then place your PPE and remove the instruments followed by all the barriers, purging the lines and finally, 2 full wipe downs of the op.
Once this is complete, wipe down the utility gloves thoroughly and store under the sink. Continue with the rest of the PPE removal.
