I went to Freddie Lamb's Underground Open Mic on Thursday, August 7 in McMinnville, Oregon. It was a really fun night. The open mic is heald in the Oregon Hotel which was in the midst of celbrating the life of Jerry Garcia and playing Grateful Dead music on the house speakers all day!
I was 7th on the list and tried my best to turn the even into an Irish Pub for a few minutes. I played Gilgary Mountain (Whisky in the Jar) and the Wild Rover, with a local twist for the Wild Rover.
It was a lot of fun and the audience was really supportive, clapping and singing on all the chorus'. If you are ever in the vicinity of McMinnville on a Thursday, stop in and enjoy!
