Salvation is the starting point and we embark on a journey to get to the finishing end . Along the journey, you're tested tried, challenged and distructed and you need to know your story. Apostle Paul prays for the church to have full understanding of the knowledge of Christ. He also state the position in Christ, explaining who Christ is and he commands and instructs the church to walk in Him, rooted in Him, build up in Him with thanksgiving progress.
