Our new CLI webhook listener
The Resend CLI v2 ships with a built-in webhook listener that lets you test webhooks locally, no manual setup, no cleanup. Spin it up, trigger events, and watch them stream into your terminal in real time. Here's how it works. - Why CLIs are having a moment (hint: agents love them) - Setting up a public URL with ngrok and connecting it to the Resend CLI webhook listener - How the CLI auto-creates and auto-destroys webhooks so you don't have to clean up - Triggering a live event (deleting a contact) and watching it appear in the listener - Filtering events with the --events flag (e.g. only email.sent and email.open) - Sending an email directly from the CLI with `resend emails send` - The --forward-to flag for piping webhook events into your local application - Full API coverage in the CLI: domains, API keys, broadcasts, contacts, and more - JSON output mode for CI environments and agent workflows Resources - Resend CLI Docs — https://resend.com/docs/cli 0:00 Intro 0:22 Setup 0:56 Triggering a Live Event 1:34 Auto-Cleanup of Test Webhooks 1:53 Filtering by Event Type 2:14 Sending an Email via CLI 2:42 Viewing Events in the Listener 2:57 Docs and Additional CLI Flags 3:43 Full API Coverage and JSON Mode 3:56 Wrap Up
