This is how many frames you must wait for the action’s animation to end uninterrupted and become actionable again. Base Damage Damage you would deal if your opponent had full health and was the first hit of the combo. Proration Each hit of a combo scales the damage down for every hit after it. Starting a combo using an attack with proration treats that attack as multiple hits, so each hit after it does even less damage during that combo. Negative proration means that the combo scaling doesn’t start right away, raising your overall damage. Draw Cancel After your attack’s active frames end, this will interrupt your recovery frames to draw your gun. Restand Hitting an attack that restands will change the opponent from an aerial state to a standing state on the ground which can benefit your combo. Bland Using an aerial attack just before touching the ground can mean it is interrupted by a land-cancel. An aerial attack that can bland is one that can skip the landing animation by hit-canceling as you’re touching the ground and allows you to follow up with ground-only options despite never landing. Initiative If you and your opponent are both actionable, locking in a move with initiative will grant you bonuses depending on the action. You will also gain these bonuses while comboing. Air Option This is how many times you can jump or teleport while airborne before touching the ground. Touching the ground resets your air options. Neutral This is when neither player is in imminent danger and are still free to act. Oki (Okizeme) When your opponent is knocked down, you can start attacks as they ‘wake up’ to threaten them as soon as they’re actionable. Usually this involves free-cancels. Mix Up This is when you’re attacking an opponent (often with free-cancel) but they don’t know which attack you will use and must pick the correct defensive option. The goal for the attacker is to confuse the opponent and ‘mix them up’ by picking something unexpected. OTG Stands for ‘on the ground,’ and refers to moves that can affect an opponent in the knockdown state who are ‘on the ground’. Knockdown & Hard knockdown Certain attacks cause you to enter the knock down state when you touch the ground during its hitstun. You can get up or roll from that state, however hard knockdowns remove those options and cause you to stand at a set time. Wallsplat Basically a hard knockdown but vertical and against the wall rather than the ground. Moves that cause knockdowns don’t always cause wallsplats. Bleap Using an action that provides upward momentum from the ground and canceling it into a grounded action that causes you to perform it in the air. The cowboy only has 2 known options, 1 being worthless and the other being impractical and requiring a separate exploit to make possible.
