Outer space
(Based on an original composition) Verse 1 If I had a ticket to fly away, Far beyond the light of day, Would that trip renew my place In the story of the human race? Would I lose the need for the chase, Or still feel tied to the same old pace? Searching sky for a brand-new face… Somewhere out there... Chorus Deep in outer space, what lays far beyond? So much hidden without a trace. I feel the pull, the quiet bond— The weightless pull that I embrace. Is there more for me to find, Or just reflections of my mind? Drifting slow through time’s embrace, Deep in outer space. Verse 2 The breathless skies that captivate, On this night I contemplate. I watch the stars that shoot till supernova, Burning bright, then fading over. A fleeting spark, a soft goodbye, A mirror in the endless sky. And as their light begins to wane, I see myself in their refrain. Chorus Deep in outer space, what lays far beyond? So much hidden without a trace. I feel the pull, the quiet bond— The weightless pull that I embrace. Is there more for me to find, Or just reflections of my mind? Drifting slow through time’s embrace, Deep in outer space. Verse 3 Turns the journey as mind returns, The pull of space begins to fade. I breathe again, moment renewed, With silent grace my soul imbued. Chorus Deep in outer space, what lays far beyond? So much hidden without a trace. I feel the pull, the quiet bond— The weightless pull that I embrace. Is there more for me to find, Or just reflections of my mind? Drifting slow through time’s embrace, Deep in outer space.
