Here are a few considerations (there are thousands) with regards to selecting an overdenture attachment system. I've been trained with Locators - but - as you can see, to one way of ensuring that the abutment is not binding in the denture requires a significant removal of acrylic. You don't have to remove that amount, however, it's often difficult to visual any spots that are preventing the denture from fully seating on the edentulous ridge.
Maybe there is a better way?
