Owlbear
Owlbear The marble of the skull begins to fissure and to fray The human face is butchered as the spirit turns to grey. The radius is snapping like a branch of frozen pine The marrow leaks out bitter like a dark, ancestral wine. The skin is ripped in ribbons, hanging tattered, wet, and raw As ivory plates are driven through the furnace of the jaw. The spine erupts in jagged quills, a black and oily fan The beast begins its harvest of the fragments of the man! The ribcage is a cage of thorns that's bursting from the chest The pulse of ancient hunger is the only law confessed. A brutal transformation in the silence of the mud A grand and stoic epic written in the cooling blood! A MONOLITH OF FEATHER, FUR, AND GORE! The apex god of the killing floor! A feathered titan, silent and immense A grand and predatory recompense. A massive horned beak upon a grizzly’s torso set A nightmare made of muscle that the world cannot forget! With talons forged in nightmares, serrated and wide There is no longer any place for cowards to hide! The hunters boast of iron while they shiver by the spark While I descend, a ton of death, a shadow in the dark. I track the scent of adrenaline, the salt upon their skin I watch the heavy trembling of the mortal world begin. I drop from freezing canopies, a mountain made of hate To snap the spine of arrogance before they realize fate. The beak is curved and obsidian, a blade of polished horn I feast upon the vanity of those who were not warned! PULVERIZE... THE... BONE! (The marrow drains) SILENCE... EVERY... GROAN! (The predator reigns) CLAIM THE BLOOD-STAINED THRONE! (The silence stains) ABSOLUTE. DOMINATION. The fire is ash. The blood is stone. THE BEAST IS FLESH. THE MAN IS GONE.
