A retelling where Frisk returns to the surface and was taken to an asylum cause her talk of monsters made the humans think she got brain damage from her supposed fall. Because she doesn't return, the monsters loses hope. Undyne does take over, because Flowey killed Asgore. I guess that's why Sans chases after Flowey...maybe.
