In ServiceNow UI Builder, you can create page variants based on the audience to display different versions of a page for different users or roles. This is useful when you need to tailor the UI experience based on user roles, groups, or specific conditions. Steps to Create a Page Variant Based on Audience in UI Builder Open UI Builder Navigate to UI Builder (/now/ui-builder) in ServiceNow. Select the experience where you want to add a page variant. Select or Create a Page Choose an existing page or create a new one. Create a Page Variant Click on the Variants tab. Click Add variant. Define Variant Conditions Under the Audience section, set conditions based on: User Role (e.g., admin, itil, agent) User Group (e.g., Service Desk, HR Support) User Criteria (if using Adaptive Experiences) Other Custom Conditions (such as location, department, etc.) Modify the Variant’s UI Customize the layout, components, and data sources based on the selected audience. Ensure that only the necessary widgets and components are displayed for each user group. Preview & Test the Variant Use the Preview as feature to test how different audiences will see the page. Ensure that users only see the appropriate variant based on their role. Save and Publish Once satisfied with the setup, save and publish the changes. The system will dynamically serve the correct variant based on the logged-in user.
