Compared to mauve, the map probably has a better deco with more attention put into it and a better color scheme. Thats pretty much all the upsides when you compare it to mauve. And when you litterally name a map "pale violet" you bet your ASS its getting compared to mauve. The gameplay is definitely different than most mauvelikes, relying a lot more on consecutive cornerboosts than anything. The main introduced gimmick are double cornerkicks: they only become problematic when you are forced to do both into a normal jump, which as an input is actually never FULLY necessary except in the tutorial room and final, which just so happened to feel incredibly inconsitent and also took me 1 hour more than it should have since i nearly made the speedcheck and then only beat the room an hour later. If you are into speed maps sure you can probably get to final and play through it but if you just want to beat your first one just. Just play mauve man
