Pan de Agua (Water Bread) has an outer crispy crust with an airy and fluffy center. This is a popular bread in the Caribbean. Every Sunday after church we had fresh Pan de Agua with butter and consumed with a cup of Puerto Rican coffee. It is very similar to Italian or French bread.
I use a stand mixer to make and knead the dough for the bread. The dough hook does all the work for you. I don't even roll the dough with a rolling pin to shape the dough into loaves. This is an easy and quick recipe. For this recipe, I proof the yeast and dough.
