Panama Final

What started as a pilot outreach became something far greater. In July 2025, our team traveled to Bocas del Toro, Panama in partnership with Floating Doctors to deliver dental care to remote Ngäbe-Buglé and Indigenous communities accessible only by boat. Over the course of one week, we set up mobile clinics in island villages, provided extractions, cleanings and oral health education, worked alongside local health promoters and translators to ensure culturally grounded care. This experience challenged us, stretched us and reminded us that global health is about commitment. From packing supplies and navigating ocean routes to building trust with each patient we met, this journey was about more than dentistry. It was about connection, humility and sustainable impact. Three months later, Floating Doctors welcomed their first in-house dentist continuing the work and using the same oral health education tools introduced during this outreach. This is not just a mission trip. This is what sustainability in global health looks like.
