Paper horizon
Paper horizon I opened the window, the air is still cold Coffee on the table, empty chest I left the words locked in the dark I jumped out the window, left my wall. The clock stopped in the time that was But today the silence doesnt hurt me anymore. New colors on my brush Sketching the outline of this sky. Ill draw a paper horizon Bend the fear, escape the barracks Where routine tried to hold me back Today I only want the luxury of being. Far from everything Im no longer I follow the path the wind blew. The streets know my slow steps But I traded all my laments For a pair of boots and a torn map The future is now, the rest is the past. I dont need to rush to arrive If beauty lies in unlearning how to walk. And if the rain falls, may it wash away the memory I am the author of a new story. No drafts, no full stops Only the now and nothing more. I will draw a horizon on paper Bend the fear, escape the barracks Where routine tried to hold me captive Today I only want the luxury of being. Far from everything I am no longer I follow the path the wind blew
