Part 12 API 579 FFS Episode 1.1 Dent and Gouges Introduction

This video includes an introduction to Part 12 Dents and Gouges as per the 2021 edition of API 579. The focus of this presentation is on the types of dents. Since dents are more found on pipelines and piping systems, the pipeline codes are reviewed to describe the procedure for evaluate dents without an engineering assessment. We focus on API RP 1160 in this episode. The following cases are described : * Dents and fatigue occur * Dents on welds, dents with corrosion etc.
