Part 16 : ANOVA test

We discuss ANOVA (analysis of variance) test in this video. We start by discussing why we should not use two sample t-test for all possible group pairs when it comes to comparing the mean of more than two groups. Then we discuss the difference between one way and two way ANOVA test. We then discuss each step of ANOVA test with graphical illustration. We show how to get F statistic using within group and between group variance. We also provide F distribution plot and show graphically how to get the P-value using the derived F-value from the plot. We then show how different within and between group variance can affect statistical significance. Finally, we talk about different variances in different groups - a case where vanilla ANOVA test does not work.
