Paul Signac Artist Study
In this livestream, I studied the pointillist paintings of Paul Signac. My plan was to do color thumbnail studies and then recreate segments of his color stippling, but things took a turn and I ended super up close to Signac's canvases. In my opinion, this kind of artist study is an extremely valuable exercise for artists of all levels. I hope you learn something from it, but I especially hope this will help younger artists learn how to look at works in a way that is both fun and beneficial. I'm sure there is plenty we missed, so please contribute your insights in the comments! This artist study was a points redemption by one of my viewers, who requested we look at Signac. If you accumulate enough channel points (aka watch time on my Twitch stream), you can redeem them for an artist study and choose the artist. We do one artist study stream each month.
