This session provides updates to participants on current activities underway in Professional Practice.
First, participants hear about recent real-world cases involving the fraudulent use of engineering seals, non-engineers posing as licensed professionals, and other misrepresentations that pose risks to public safety. The session explores how regulators detect and manage these situations, as well as how fraud typically occurs in practice from both a regulatory and practitioner perspective, and some ways you can protect your identity.
Secondly, an update is provided regarding the launch of the modernized Continuing Professional Development Program, including an overview of the changes and information about resources available to help registrants meet the program requirements.
