The PDPM has new Medicare PPS scheduling requirements effective October 1st. The Patient Driven Payment Model has 2 required MDS assessments the 5 day and the Medicare End of Stay. This video provideds PDPM education covering Variable per diem, Intermittent Payment Assessment, 5 day, discharge, and End of Medicare Stay assessments. Each assess is explained in depth. CMS has not given a policy for the IPA each SNF will need to develop a policy.
