This is an AWESOME cello part, advanced cellists! You’ll love playing these harmony and broken chord measures. Unlike some other songs, this A part is NOT the melody. The B part is a simplified harmony, but you have the “good stuff”! You even get to shift up your 4th finger for the high G# towards the end of the first section. Practice that over and over so that you can do it quickly and in tune! It sounds SO cool with the melody! Watch for the dynamics and repeats as well as the ritardando at the end…YOU are the important ones with all of your quarter notes there. Work hard and do your best. When you get good at your part, look up the others to play along and see how your part interacts with the others, especially the cello B part! You will want to know how it sounds together.
