The Side Sonic is a variation of the pen-spinning trick, sonic. It is the start of a normal sonic hybridized with an inverse sonic where the finger between switches first in front, then behind the pen mod. It's somewhat debated whether or not side is a modifier because it requires a between finger to display the side type in-out motion.
