A 4 day/3 night, 26 mile hike with my sister on the Inca trail to Machu Picchu in April. This is day three. We hiked over one low pass at 12,000 MSL and a lot down hill. It rained off and on through most of the day. The third camp was close to the trail checkpoint. We got up at 3 A.M. the next morning so the porters could break camp and get to the train station and we could get under the shelter at the checkpoint. It rained heavy this night for a about four hours.
