August 2014 and both steam engines and field lines at Sumberharjo were in use for one last season although nobody knew it at the time.
Little ever seemed to happen at this mill but this time I struck it lucky and the video features:
the lines three diesels heading off to the fields (00:33)
then the steam action starts with locos S3 & 6 moving empties from mill to loading yard (05:44)
No10 moving through the village to an outlying yard to collect empties (05:20)
and then No9 picking up more empties and cable shunting its train before heading off to a nearby field and again cable shunting (11:18)
Well satisfied with my mornings achievements and with the likelihood of nothing further happening until late afternoon I called it quits and returned to Pemalang.
