This video will detail the electronics used in the Photon: motor and propeller, ESC, receiver, servos, and extensions. Below are parts and sources for the parts on this plane. I have ordered each of these parts from the sources listed. I do not specifically recommend any particular seller but have had good experiences with each of these. Other sources do exist, and all sellers have their advantages and disadvantages. MOTOR: (I have chosen a small, high kV motor for high wattage and small propeller. There are many other options for motor and prop combinations on this plane) http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=12919 http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=127&productname= PROPELLER: Preferred: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8009 OK: http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=217&productname= ESC: (30 amp is usually OK, for a few more $'s I usually opt for a 40 amp) **program the ESC brake to ON** http://www.hobbypartz.com/60p-dye-1004-40a-esc.html http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=500&productname= BATTERIES: (options are too numerous to list - here are a couple of my favorites) http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__11944__Turnigy_nano_tech_2200mah_3S_35_70C_Lipo_Pack.html http://www.hobbypartz.com/77p-sl2200-3s1p-40c-3333.html SERVOS: Digital, metal: http://www.hobbypartz.com/9gexidimeges.html Analog, metal: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9392__Turnigy_MG90S_Metal_Gear_Servo_1_8kg_13_4g_0_10sec.html Analog, plastic: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__662__HXT900_9g_1_6kg_12sec_Micro_Servo.html http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=542&productname= SERVO EXTENSIONS: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=376 http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_search_list.dwt&gcat=0&gkey=EXTENSION&image.x=0&image.y=0 RECEIVER: Too many options to discuss here. Be sure you have at least 4 channels if using straight ailerons with a Y-harness, 5 channels if using flaperons. I strongly recommend good receiver antenna placement and/or addition of a well-placed satellite receiver.
