This experiment investigates the motion of a ball as it is projected at an angle. Slow-motion video from an iPhone and Vernier Video Analysis will be incorporated to collect the data. The physics of projectile motion demonstrates how the motion in perpendicular directions are independent of each other, connected only through their shared time. This is a very important concept. In the x-direction, the motion is uniform (Tortoise and the Hare, revisited) and in the y-direction there is constant acceleration, due to gravity.
