The pipeline pig consists of a steel frame, cups, disc,and other components. During operation, the cup forms a tight seal against the pipe walls, allowing gas pressure to create a difference between the front and rear of the pig. This pressure difference propels the pig forward, cleaning debris from the pipe as it moves. Additionally, the cup pig is effective in removing solid blockages.
