A first fire up of the gear pair on my in-progress milling head. Somewhat fraught, if it was wrong this could have done quite a bit of damage. The driving gear is keyed onto the horizontal shaft, the vertical gear is running free on the milling spindle for the moment.
The horrible welds are horrible, but they were only tacks to hold stuff in place whilst I did more horrible welds on the back side.
