Pipe lights
Our sunroom needed some additional light at night, so I made two fixtures from some black pipe and fittings. The bulbs are LED twist-filament, and look a lot more authentic than the earlier LED filament bulbs, before manufacturers figured out how to create bends with it. The bulb base is the variety with the rubber shell encasing the base, and I picked that because with a turn or two of nylon electrical tape around its outer circumference it is the right diameter to engage the threads of the 1 1/4" pipe reducer at the end of the fixture, so it can be screwed or unscrewed by hand into place. I didn't show the drywall repair afterwards, but you get the idea. Disclaimer: This video isn't intended to recommend any methods of electrical work or techniques; it's just about what I did. Always make sure power is off (with the circuit breaker) before attempting any electrical project.
