Pirates ft. Ehre
The well-fed lords and ladies call us criminals- But we don't treat our foes as animals. They roll in riches and eat off silverware. But on our seas- for them- there's no thoroughfare. Liars, scoundrels, and they cheat. Robbing the innocent- is their biggest feat! For we are pirates- we are pirates! Lords of the seas- Terror for the king's court- Plundering his ships and port! Prayers of the poor, our blessings- With our canons, we drown the king's cursings! And we obey our ladies! King's men we fear not! We serve revenge cold- and our meals hot! Ho! Ho! Ho! Hei! hei! ho!!! Ho! Ho! Ho! Hei! Hei! Ho!!! (Interlude: instrumental, fast-paced pirate metal with cello and violin) (verse: pirate Male voice: sarcastic) Lords and ladies may be rich, But for some more gold- Honor and pride, they'll ditch. They acquired mansions, and gardens by flattery- And we do by cutlasses, and broadside battery. It's law when they steal and plunder- It's crime when we do- and the king is in thunder! Under the jolly roger- we put our trust- We take only sugar, rum and crust! We don't sell honor for gold and quarter- Our lives risky- and greet death, with laughter. Masters of our own destiny- We plunder the king's ships in our vicinity. ( interlude: instrumental, cello a bit sentimental, emotional, soft Irish drums) (Verse: Male pirate voice: sentimental) And when we have a fallen mate- We offer him to the sea- to his fate. As the king took away our farms and sheep. We will make his ships, sink deep. Once we were subjects, honest, and docile Turned into pirates- as the lords and ladies, were hostile. If the king to us will be blind- To his lords and ladies- we'll be unkind. Seize an honest man's ships and sail- He'll turn into a pirate- and fire broadsides like hell! ( bridge: instrumental, enthusiastic, fast-paced violin, cello, fast Irish drums) (Verse: Male pirate voice) Ho! Ho! Ho! Hei! Hei! Ho!!! Ho! Ho! Ho! Hei! Hei! Ho!!! We're more civil than them, Honor in our hearts, and we're not the same. Our ships are sea worthy- and not stolen. Our hands dirty-but our wealth not swollen! We spare the poor, and plunder the corrupt! Pray that one day, the peasants in revolt- erupt. We sleep in peace on floors, that are wooden Unlike those, scoundrels who have, Illegitimate wealth hidden. The stars our guide, and the waves our lullaby- Happy with Frugal meals of barley and rye. To our elders we promised- Never will we bend or be broken. To our comrades we say- be it in peace or battle- you'll never be forsaken. For as long as injustice and terror on lands prevail- We will greet the king's ships- with our broadside hail! Ho! Ho! Ho! Hei! Hei! Ho!
