Making a plaid pattern, end grain, cutting board out of Walnut, Mahogany and Maple. I can't take credit for this design, but then who can? The timeless plaid pattern designed into a useful, beautiful wood project. I used Gorilla glue for the five separate glue ups and General Finishes' Bowl Finish (used to be called Salad Bowl Finish) with a top coat of beeswax & mineral oil. I recently acquired a drum sander which turned out to be indispensable for this project.
