Join me today as I set out to plant our leeks and shallots. We started these indoors from seed in early February, and now they are ready to transition into the garden. Because we could still have an occasional cold night, I am planting them within a metal planter which I can use in combination with a frost cloth should I ever need to cover them. Gardening here in central VA you just never know. It could be close to 90 degrees one day followed by an overnight frost the next.
