System: i5 12500 arc a750 64gb ddr4 ram Some important notes: 1. 1 or 2 Transcodes seems to work fine (regardless if HDR or SDR) with multiple direct plays 2. In the video, i was able to produce 7 instances while on direct play. but on the latter part, was limited to 6. Though i did notice that the "background transcodes were limited to 1".... which may contribute to what i experienced in regards to limited instances. Not sure. 3. It may also be that it's my client computer that's being pushed too hard, as i have multiple sessions going on with my client PC. Client pc is running multiple plex windows, and also hosting my camera and other media apps. 4. As far as overall opinion. the arc a750 perfectly fit my use case. With 1 or at most 2 simultaneous transcoding...i am having good experience with it. 5. Objective of video is to check utilization of hardware. Where i observed that both CPU and GPU utilization was good. It's more on the arc a750 not being able to keep up with workload demand. 6. I won't be able to re-do the tests as i now longer own the arc a750. 7. feel free to leave a comment. I or someone else, may be able to respond and help =) Time Stamp 0:00 Intro 5:24 7 HDR instances of HW Transcoding 7:00 4 HDR instances of HW Transcoding 7:35 4k Direct Played 9:30 Multiple SDR instances of HW Transcoding 20:25 Conclusion and finally decided to settle with 2 simultaneous transcoding and 3 direct plays. Emphasis in regards to direct plays: it seems like my it is my client PC that's bottlenecking the number of instances due to multiple applications running in the background. I will try to address this in my next video about Plex and an RTX 4070.
