Ordinary glass can act a s a polarizer, if the light hits it at a well defined (Brewster-) angle. This means that we can see the effect of polarization just using two pieces of glass each oriented at the Brewster angle. By rotating the second glass slap around the optical axis, we can analyse the polarized light which the reflection at the first glass generated.
