Polybrute patch Suno vectorscope visualization demo
Just playing with concepts and using a minute of manually generated audio to feed to Suno. The break in content has a stutter and a visual shift. I've been working with Suno to see what the limits are, how much material is used or reused. It can be an effective tool to break out of writer's block. This is purely done for eye candy- the vectorscopes describe four channels of separated audio fed through a ring modulator. The actual sound those describe is pretty jarring to the ear, but it does give a feel for how different instruments could be represented. AI track splitters can be used in conjunction with Suno to refine bass lines, or listen to an alternate vocal take. It's a generally competent but sometimes misguided musical engine. In this composition, Suno lifts the elements of the Polybrute melody and chord structures I created from https://www.youtube.com/@VenusTheory 's wonderfully thick sample bank. It doesn't seem to want to use the timbres for any of the solo material, and sticks to samples it feels more comfortable with. The only prompt I used after feeding my original material was ~Arturia Polybrute synthesizer~ to minimize "contamination" from works of popular music.
