This video demonstrates a wide range of materials that can be used to make marks and images on polyester plates (aka pronto plates). Materials include ball point pens, gel pens, markers, waterproof drawing ink, toner washes made with water or alcohol, copier transfers - just about anything that is waterproof and will stick to the plate.
