Polymer Clay Tutorial - Red Glider Butterfly

Welcome to my Blood Red Glider Butterfly Polymer Clay Cane Tutorial - part of my 52 week challenge canes. The Blood Red Glider, or Cymothoe sangaris, is a butterfly native to Central Africa. I love its beautiful bright red wings - it is such a striking, wonderful butterfly. I use the following colours of Premo Sculpey in this tutorial: * Cadmium Red * Cadmium Yellow * Black * Burnt Umber For the reds variations, just mix small amounts of brown in with some red, a little yellow in with another until you have some subtle red shades to stack. For the browns, mix one with some white and one with some black for some variation. I hope you enjoy this tutorial - it was fun to make!
