Pool Multiport Valve Replacement
Replacing my multiport valve. Its important to read the label on the side which says to only insert and twist the thread adapters hand tight plus 1 to 1.5 turns with a wrench. So don't overtighten, or you can crack the plastic housing, which is what i did to my old one a few years ago. I always had leaks under it, but that was because i wasn't wrapping teflon well enough. So i tried to tighten it down way more with the wrench, and cracked it. So i got away with JB Water Weld for a few years, but the other day it was leaking a bit more. The price of the valve has come down now, so I think its a good time to replace it, so i don't have to worry about it anymore. Always consult a professional, as these are very technical things that are being shown. If you're not skilled or comfortable with these types of tasks its definitely worth having a pool professional do the work for you.
