Potassium Purification Without Distillation

In today's video I will show you the purification of potassium. However, not by means of a distillation but by the so-called Saiger process (Seiger process). It is, in theory, a very simple process. The metal is melted and run over a clean glass surface. This causes the alkali metal oxides to adhere to the glass surface and the clean metal can be transferred to an ampoule. However, theory is again easier than practice. My results were only moderately satisfactory. There will definitely be a second video on this process.
