Power | 5.4 General Physics
Chad provides a lesson on Power. He first provides the physics definition for power and the corresponding formula (P=W/t). He then shows that the SI unit is the Watt, which is a J/s. An alternative formula for power is provided next (P=Fv) along with its derivation before a few power physics practice problems are solved. The first two practice problems involve calculating the power of an elevator from work and time and then from force and velocity. The last practice problem involves calculating both power and horsepower of a motorcycle engine. 00:00 Lesson Introduction 00:38 Physics Definition and Formulas of Power 04:28 Power Practice Problem with Elevator #1 07:40 Power Practice Problem with Elevator #2 09:10 Power and Horsepower Practice Problem Check out Chad's General Physics Master Course: https://www.chadsprep.com/physics-youtube #generalphysics #physicstutorial
