This video was produced when the laboratory operated as the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The laboratory is now the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). Distributed Integration Solution Cost Options (DISCO) is a Python-based NREL software tool for conducting scalable, repeatable distribution analyses. While DISCO was originally developed to support photovoltaic impact analyses, it can also be used to understand the impact of other distributed energy resources and load changes on distribution systems. This webinar is presented by NREL power grid researchers Sherin Ann Abraham and Shibani Ghosh.
