Impulses are resonant half waves, and they can contain a lot of power!
In this video I show how to levitate Aluminium, using the impulses that are produced by a Bifilar Pancake Tesla coil.
The input Amps from the supply, do jump up with 1A when the foil is floating above it, from 0,49A to 1,49A at 64.3V, so when the foil is floating, an extra 64W is needed from the supply.
edit: I see I didn't ground the parallel capacitor, to the negative voltage supply, but instead grounded it to the MOSFET drain. Still worked!
