PPC Tutorial
Recipe: - 0.15g/1ml - 30g PPC for 200ml solution - 45g PPC for 300ml solution Materials: - Clean bottle - Weighing dish - Beaker - Weight Measuring Scale - PPC powder - Anisole solution Important: * Reheat and stir before filtering the next time since you won't filter out all of them at the first time; * Clean up the scale after using. Procedure: 1. Calculate the amount of PPC and Anisole needed (0.15g/ml); 2. Zero out scale and weigh the PPC with a weighing dish; 3. Pour the PPC in your clean bottle; 4. Go to the fume hood and measure Anisole with a beaker; 5. Pour the Anisole solution into the bottle; 6. Seal the bottle; 7. Go to the acid hood and heat+stir the solution for 24hrs [Temperature: 100℃, Stirring: 300rpm (can be higher after initial dilution of the ppc)] 8. Filter out the solution.
