Practical 1 for Business Intelligence is creating pivot table using excel Start by downloading a dataset from Kaggle.com or use ur own personal dataset We will use a products dataset proceed by creating a Kaggle account or login if created already Search for the dataset u want if u dont want to go through this u can also just type product.xlsx on google and use the Microsoft Sheet1 link open it in your excel application Start by enabling editing mode click on insert mode then pivot table various new options will be added and a new sheet will be generated Choose the columns from the right hand side this will allow the displaying of the fields inside our workarea and also we can filter through this Choose the required fields to display and insert them The boxes in the bottom-right side display the Columns, rows and the summation (∑) of the columns entered. ascending or descending order can be applied using the downward arrow one can also choose the specific selected items * Pivot Chart Insert -Pivot Charts Choose from the various options of charts (some may not be supported with the selected set of data) if an option is not supported a direct message would be displayed change the look and feel of the charts if needed making ur analysis more straightforward and understandable u can also change the chart type as shown
