Penmanship truly requires patience. After six years of handwriting I have found that I have gained a great sense of patience from having doing it. For some it may take many more years to reach the level of proficiency I've reached and for others they may attain greater levels of skill in half the amount of time. What is important that you remain persistent regardless of the time. When I first began the goal was not to become a great penman, but rather mentally healthy. I was interested in developing a better me, and in many different ways handwriting helped me attain just that. I'm not perfect and I still have much growth to experience but I can guarantee that handwriting will remain an intimate part of life.
