In this video, we will discuss a precision Full-Wave Rectifier circuit. This circuit uses the diodes in negative feedback loop to compensate for the losses in diode voltage drop and is suitable for rectification of low-level AC signals. In addition, we will use an inverting summing amplifier to create a full-wave rectified signal at the output. First, we discuss the operation principle and the for a negative feedback loop in order to eliminate the diode voltage drop (700 mV). Then, we will determine the expression for the rectified output voltage. In the final part, we will discuss a design example in which we calculate the components of the complete circuit.
