Prepper pantry tour
In response to some viewer requests, I am doing a 'refreshed' pantry tour for you today. I did a tour last year, and I will link that at the end of the video. You may notice a few things have changed since my youngest moved out. My pantry has been put togther for various reaosns ... in order of priority: 1) To mitgate against loss of earnings in the case of prolonged sick leave (3 months) 2) To help me through a bumpy patch if I lose my supermarket job for any reason 3) To build some financial resilience in the face of rising food prices (and prices in general) 4) To act as a cushion in the event of supply chain issues 5) To act as a cushion in the face of short term emergencies that do not require leaving my home. The tins in this pantry will last three years, and I / we use them and replace them on a regualr basis. I only buy what I know we like to eat and what will get used in the planned time frame. The food items are quite basic, and allow me to make a wide variety of meals. Please note, that what I buy may not suit your needs nor the needs of your family ... so best not to rush out and copy item per item! A lot of thought and planning ... and thirty years of experience ... have gone into building this pantry (and yes, I do still make mistakes), so if you think you want o build a resilience pantry, think about your objectives, your budget, and what your family will eat before you do anything else. Whatever you do ... do not go into debt to build a pantry. I macould y talk about how I would start building a resilience pantry in the future, if that would be a help to anyone. There are lots of pantry prepping channels out there. The main one I watch is Sutton's Daze, (although I do not 'can' food in the US sense of the word). Leisa talks a lot of sense when it comes to building a workable pantry that suits individual needs. This video is made for entertainment purposes only and does not constitute official emergency planning advice! #costofliving #costoflivingcrisis #frugal #frugallifestyle #frugalliving #frugalretirement #livingonabudget #preparingforretirement #budget #pantryprepping #prepperpantry #stockingup
