This is the Main Theme from Press Yoru Luck. Host: Peter Tomarken Announcer: Rod Roddy Network: CBS Reruns: GSN (Game Show Network) Original Run: 1983-1986 In this game show, three contestants try to answer a series of four multiple-choice question with three possible answers. A contestant would buzz in and come up with an answer, which then becomes one of the three choices for the remaining two opponents. If no one buzzes in after the host finishes reading the question, then Tomarken reveals the three choices for the players to answer. Players who answer correctly earn one Spin while a player who buzzed in and answered correctly would win three Spins. If wrong answers were given, no Spins would be rewarded. Spins would also not be rewarded to the player who buzzed in but did not come up with an answer within three seconds. After the Question Round was over, the players would take the Spins that they've won and used them on the Big Board to try to win cash and prizes while trying to evade the Whammy. If they hit a Whammy, all the money will be taken away and four Whammies eliminates a player from the game. During the game, a player can use the remaining Spins to press their luck and go for the Big Board OR pass their spins to their opponent who is in the lead. After two rounds, the player with the most money wins and keeps all of the cash and prizes they've earned. NOTE: If two players Whammy out, then the remaining player wins by default. In Round 1 of the Big Board, the player with the fewest spins goes first. If there is a tie with the same number of Spins between two players, then the player to Peter's left side would go first. At the end of this round, the player with the most money would go last in Round 2 and the player with the least amount of money would go first. If there is a tie for dollar amounts for second place, then the player to the host's left side would go first. In the history of Press Your Luck, the biggest winner was Michael Larson, an Ice Cream Truck Driver. He won $110,237 worth of cash and prizes. Most of which was because he figured out the PYL Spin code and kept stopping at the $$ plus a Spin. In later episodes, "$2,000 or Lose-A-Whammy" was added as well as "Double Your Money Plus a Spin".
