Primary Scan - Negative
The machine runs its first diagnostic. The results are not good. It stands in the crater of its own arrival, smoke still rising from its joints, and begins the work it was built to do. It scans the horizon. It catalogs the lifeforms. It searches for the target. There is no target. Primary Scan: Negative is the third wound of the album. The T-800 executes its primary function—identification and termination—and finds nothing to terminate. No Sarah Connor. No resistance fighters. No war. Just an endless, breathing green that does not know it is being watched. The machine scans again. And again. And again. Each scan returns the same result: negative. From the lyrics: Initiate scan. Grid the terrain. No concrete. No steel. No sign of the chain of command, or the war, or the factories' breath. Just chlorophyll sickness, a green kind of death. Facial recognition: negative. Genetic markers: negative. Sarah Connor: negative. The most terrifying thing a killer can face is not a stronger enemy. It is an empty room. The T-800 was designed for a world of chrome and ash, of plasma fire and screaming metal. It was not designed for ferns. It was not designed for silence. It was not designed to stand in the middle of a jungle with nothing to kill and no one to report to. But here it stands. And the jungle does not care. Primary scan: negative. The target is a ghost in the machine of history. All paths lead to zero. All zeros lead to this. The machine has arrived. The mission has not. #terminator #metal
