Primavera "P6-Data base" is one of the very important feature of the software but unfortunately most of our follow Planning Engineers are not fully aware of it and sometime have concerns to interfere with data base
The benefit of having new data base is that you can create different database for different project separately, It is helpful in following ways i.e.
1) In case of system failure, and/or you need to format your PC and/or need to re-install Primavera software, your project related data will remains un-effected
2) If you are getting program from different subcontractors and suppliers there will be no chances of having same Resource/Cost ID and names, so that when you Import program into your machines there will be no surprises and you will not get correct information provided to you
