Priming cases is important when reloading to get the primer seated correctly. After you have prepared cases for reloading the first functions is to prime the cases. Where primers are seated I have found to be the best is flush with the back of the case there are simple ways to check. Measuring primer pocket depth and specific distance from the bottom of the primer pocket to the anvil has not proven to be a significant improvement worth the investment time.
